ABOUT US

The Española Lowrider Museum Coalition was formally organized in August of 2017 with the intent of forming a museum and sponsoring community-wide events to engage lowriders, tourists and the public from throughout the region.

The Board Officers

chairman ~ Fred Rael

vice-chairman ~ Melissa Velasquez

secretary ~ Don Usner

treasurer ~ Bobby Chacon

This project will serve a very broad and energetic community of lowrider enthusiasts, create venues for showing and sharing their creative work and offering it to a wide audience beyond the Española Valley.

The museum website and show room will benefit individual lowriders by affirming the value of their work, and will benefit a broader arts community by showcasing lowrider arts (which include car painting and detailing as well as affiliate arts such as paintings of lowriders, clothing, upholstery, and photography).

These efforts will also stimulate the economy through regional and local tourism, growth of annual events and a new destination with the establishment of the museum.
